Rear lights: Brake, Tail lights, turn signals, reverse lights (Page 1/1)

1986 Fiero V-6, 4-speed manual transmission

The previous owner rewired the car when trying to make a replica.

One day, all of the rear deck lighting was working. All of a sudden, none of it is working. Fuses are all good. Now, none of the circuits on the rear deck work. It appears that what is connecting the switching is not powering the rear lighting. Anyone have an idea of what my problem might be?

Check the ground located behind and above the passenger side rear wheel well liner. Sometimes corrosion of the rear upper frame rail leads to a poor connection of the ground located there.

This image shows the ground wire which became completely detached from an upper frame rail due to extensive rust.

Problem solved.

Thanks for the recommendation. It was a ground. Now, all lighting works as they are supposed to.
