Parting out 88 2.5 but keeping the drivetrain and suspension. (Page 1/1)

Seems I'm about to get a few more cars.
Have to keep the neighbors happy so they do not whine to the county.
So I need to reduce the 1988 Fiero to components and dispose of the unwanted parts.
I have a title for it but I doubt anyone wants the bent/cut chassis.
If you are doing a modified chassis for a kit build this chassis is probably still good to use.

So long as the engine is not seized I plan to keep the front and rear suspension, engine & trans, seats, wheels.

The rest is open to offers.
I'm about sixty miles from Reno, NV 89447
The White body is excellent from the doors back, has a glass moon-roof.
Interior is tan.
Parts are cheaper if you pull them off.

PM or email with offers or questions.
Prefer to NOT have to list on feeBay.

The Beechwood interior parts, if in good shape, should be easy to sell.

Looked, did not see any wood interior parts.
Seems to be some sort of black cross-hatch pattern behind the gauges and around the radio area.

I've been offered a heck of a deal on a complete and strait but partially disassembled Corvair powered FiberFab GT.
I like Corvair engines and FiberFab GT's, so will make a very good deal on the Fiero, with title.

Now that I have a title I could just sell to P&P, but I know they would want it for nearly free and most parts would be wasted as they do not let the cars stay in the yard long enough.

I'm in No. Nevada near Reno.
I may get it running this weekend if the weather holds and rats have not eaten the engine harness.
This car could be fixed but I think that is not practical as runners are still around pretty cheap.
If you need 88 specific parts this one may be calling your name.

Hello

Beechwood is just the name GM gave the color of the interior. It is just a fancy way of saying "Brown".

Best thing to do is post some photos. It is hard for anyone to make an offer if they can't see the condition.

I am interested in the shifter plate if it is in excellent condition and if the car is a 5 speed. This is the grey plastic piece that has "dot matrix" pattern on it (fancy way of saying cross hatched), and also the center console with the map pocket if it is unwarped and in excellent shape Pictures would be best.

As cam-a-lot said....Beechwood is the name of the color of the interior.

It was only offered in 1988.

I've found a simpler to do non-VW engine for use for my kit car project.

I took several pics.
Interior needs a bit of cleaning but is actually in good shape.
One very small tear in the drivers seat should be pretty easy to repair.
Interior will be very good with the carpets cleaned.

New years resolution is to get more rational about my projects, so the entire 88 Fiero parts car may be had for $250.00
That includes the seats and a title. 166K miles on it.
I have not gotten the engine compartment open yet, hoping the local dealer can cut a key from the VIN.

Since loading pics to a host and posting here is going to be a pita please email for pics as that is much simpler.
I am in No. Nevada, about sixty miles from Reno.
Bring cash and a trailer, or cash and tools to claim what parts you want and I will scrap the rest.
I can pull parts for you, but then I'm going to want compensation for my time.
