Hi, does anyone know where to buy a new or used set of V6 headers, see pic? In Europe not available
Thanks,

You are probably better off finding someone near you to build you a set if you can. You can try West Coast Fieros they have these options: Headers I do not know if they ship overseas nor can I speak on the quality of this stuff.

Porting the stock exhaust logs and removing the restriction in the crossover pipe will net you as much power as the headers.

On the old Herb Adams dyno tests this gave the 2.8L 5 additional horsepower. Great mod at little to no cost.

Not sure about the headers pictured above, but I dyno tested the Trueleo headers. They made approximately 7 HP / 7 TQ more than ported stock manifolds and Y-pipe.

I have read about porting the manifolds, but not about the restriction in the crossover. Is there a restriction at the connection with the manifolds?

The restriction in the crossover is at the merge of the two pipes.
Blacktree DEC 29, 01:09 PM
Yep. The two top pipes are squashed, to fit into the bottom pipe. The fix is to cut back the center wall, where the 2 pipes are pressed against each other.

Or you could buy the Fiero Store y-pipe. It uses a 2-to-1 header collector, instead of squashing the pipes.

Here is an example that I pulled from a post in the Forum many moons ago so I don't know who posted it originally. If you search for it I've seen two ways to tackle this: the way shown in this picture where they completely sectioned the pipe vs cutting a window into the side ...

thank you all for the tips, I will start dismounting the headers and crossover, hope bolts dont break.....cat already removed, great sound (removed only internals and maintained the housing), complete exhaust system system still in one piece as mounted oem (stamped 1987) and in very good shape, unbelievable)
