Questions about the 88 non-AC fan / heater control panel (Page 1/1)

The fan in Jenny's 88 notchie with no AC stopped working at all fan speeds and in all positions of the levers. My past experience with these units have all been AC equipped cars.

Before I start digging any further...

Is any part of the heater control panel supposed to light up when the lights are on? The AC unit has a light bulb.

Does this car have a separate high speed blower motor relay like in the AC car?

Would a bad blower motor resistor assembly have any affect on ALL speeds of the fan switch?

So far a simple visual check of under dash fuses and blower motor wiring connections did not reveal any obvious answers.

Suggestions welcome.

Thanks

Hi speed has a relay.
No power to blower at all then not a relay.
No power Blown fuse, bad switch and/or bad ground.

Resistor pack only effects lower speeds. Hi speed bypasses them.

Heat control Light if used is tied to dash dimmer circuit. Turn up the dimmer. More so if someone put LED there because most LED doesn't dim right or no at all.
Is a very small light and many places don't carry them. If there I think same as AC cars.

But I don't remember seeing a light when took parts out of non AC car. Too cold and car is under a tarp to look.
