Possible coolant leak? (Page 1/1)

My son noticed the odd water drip on his foot (passenger side), not a constant but the odd drip every once in a while. I don’t have air conditioning, but wondering if it’s a possible coolant leak. He reached up under and it appears to be water... will have to take a closer look. Any thoughts?

It's the heater core. Easy to replace.

Likely. Wet area should in front of P-side under dash and feel/smell like antifreeze.

Wet anywhere else and doesn't feel/smell w/ coolant...
rain last few days?
Sunroof and other glass can leak.
Sunroof has drains that must work too. If their plugged then water on floor and/or seat.

A single "thanks" would've sufficed.

I just watched a YouTube video of a guy replacing heater core, and looked simple enough to do, but in the video it did not address air in the system... once you swap out heater cores how do you get air out of system. I’m not a mechanic. 😄

Yup. System will "burp" itself.
Check coolant level in overflow tank next few days driving. Hot/cold cycling will force air out then suck coolant from the can so keep that tank level up.

make sure you have correct rad cap.
