Front suspension removal (Page 1/1)

Anyone have a step by step on how to drop the whole front suspension out? I have a parts car I need to grab the whole front suspension out of, but I'd rather not have to disassemble it on the car. I've seen mention of it being done, but haven't seen any instructions. Sorry if this seems basic, but I've never done it before.

I did this specifically so I could A) rebuild the front suspension - then just swap it and also, b) I cut the bumpstops shorter.

Step 1) Remove wheels and disconnect the brake hoses and also lines that attach to subframe underneath

Step 2) Unbolt the stabilizer bar at the frame

Step 3) Unbolt the two braces

Step 4) Unbolt the lower A-arm rear mounts (They are attached to the chassis)

Step 5) Loosen the 4 frame bolts from underneath and also the 6 >HORIZONTAL< bolts on the two angle brackets on top (Leave the vertical ones alone)

Step 6) Remove all of those bolts except the top two bolts in the angle brackets

Step 7) With help, remove those last two horizontal bolts and the subframe should drop to the ground

I believe that is all you need to do...Somebody check my list........(I'm gettin' old so I don't reNember that well...)
