Changing to a Wood Steering Wheel (Page 1/1)

If you want a more custom look to your interior, wooden steering wheels look very nice, at least to myself. . There are loads of "Universal" 14" wood steering wheels on eBay at very attractive prices (about $50-$69 shipped). The plan here is to adapt a universal 3 spoke wheel using 6 bolt installation. The wheel offsets called the dish range from 11/2" - 3". It looks like the 1 1/2" dish wheel might fit well but looking at the Fiero Steering wheel it doesn't have very much of a dish. The question is will that 1/1/2" dish move the steering wheel too close to the driver? Hoping to keep that distance stock
