I have one of these Diablo replicas and want to upgrade the engine. I am not that mechanically knowledgeable on swaps so I would prefer to pay a professional to do it. Will ship the car anywhere in the USA to get it done right. Any suggestions are most welcomed.

To do this in CA, you may have some CARB issues. That being said, West Coast Fieros may be a place to start looking if you plan to do this type of a swap. Not a recommendation of this firm since I have never personally done business with them, but a potential starting place to see if it can even be done at a somewhat reasonable price.

Not sure that I understand the question, but If you are putting a supercharger on a 3800 N/A engine it requires the SC intake manifold, fuel rail, injectors, fuel pressure regulator,MAF, TB, PCM reprogramming belt re-routing and a few other items. Now if its a full engine swap, I don't see many shops taking this work on anymore.

I have found a local shop that will do the 3800 SC engine swap on the condition that i provide the swap kit(most like from WEST COAST FIEROS). They will install everything....minus the ECM/wiring harness etc since they do not deal with ECM prgramming etc. That being said.....What modifications do i need to do to the ECM/harness etc to get the car running. I have a smog exempt registration, so the smog is not an issue anymore.

The wiring harness and PCM are normally installed with the powertrain not afterwards. If you don't have good wiring knowledge, its best to buy a plug and play harness. You can use the GTP wiring harness and just splice in the power, ground, cooling fan, A/C, and a few other things but the pro harnesses work best. Injection Technology (Phil Dull) makes a swap harness using all new connectors but it is expensive. Olejoedad can probably make one for you as well. WCF also makes them but they are very expensive. As for the PCM as a minimum you will need to have the VAT's and other unused codes deleted.. Editing software is needed for this. ------------------ " THE BLACK PARALYZER" -87GT 3800SC Series III engine, custom ZZP /Frozen Boost Intercooler setup, 3.4" Pulley, Northstar TB, LS1 MAF, 3" Spintech/Hedman Exhaust, P-log Manifold, Autolite 104's, MSD wires, Custom CAI, 4T65eHD w. custom axles, Champion Radiator, S10 Brake Booster, HP Tuners VCM Suite. The ECM can be reprogrammed by Sinister performance ( gmtuners.com) . The company claiming to be able to do the install if you provide the kit sounds like they don't have much, if any, experience with a Fiero swap. I would continue to look for an experienced source, since things like Axles, battery location, etc are all unique to the Fiero swap. You want someone who can not only get it installed, but get it running and driving as well. ------------------ '87 GT , '00 3800 Series II SC, 4t65e, Vue Power Steering. (SOLD)

Agreed. I know of people getting screwed over by outfits that have NO idea what's involved in a swap.

I absolutely agree that a experienced shop should do it, but i haven't found any shops in the USA that will do it besides WCF(and i get that uneasy feeling when talking to them) That is why I'm reaching out to the forum for anyone that is willing to do the swap. If there are available shops in Canada, I'm willing to do it.

I don't know if Olejoedad is interested, but I would recommend him.
