Marine battery box up front? (Page 1/1)

I've been thinking about moving my battery up front (since I found the stock mount pretty well rusted when I replaced the battery last month). I've searched the archives for info and while someone mentioned using a marine box (as opposed to the pricier WCF, Norms, and Archie kits), I couldn't find any further info, plus almost all the old pictures are gone Has anyone done this and/or have recent pics of the install? Thanks.

I used the Archie mount.....Worked well, easy to do the mod, and the (Sealed) Battery is on Fiberglass now with no rain water running over it to wash battery acid onto metal. I also did some different wiring; I ran the two big wires- Power to the starter and the ground to the block, but have a battery switch up front on the ground....I also ran the power cable thru a separate (Ford Style) Starter solenoid up front so the wire by the gas tank is not hot all the time- then I ran another AWG 8 wire to the Junction block in back to run the car- It has a 60 amp fuse and is run in the Schedule 40 plastic tubing under the car that the ground runs thru- if I get "high-centered" those two wires can short together and pop the fuse- not........The GAS TANK!

I have a diagram but can't post here- I can send it to you if you wish......
