Cant find any threads on upgrading 2.5 heads (Page 1/1)
TheDuke SEP 22, 01:49 AM
I've looked extensively for details for swapping different heads on the old duke, but all I ever find are vague comments alluding to there being a thread and that it has been discussed. Any help would be great. Thanks guys.

I found 117 threads in 30 seconds. I can't believe that none of these are applicable.

Apparently I was being too specific in my search, I was looking for upgrades or performance enhancements not general heads posts. I was trying to weed out all the questions like how do I fix gaskets and such.

After reading these threads I still dont see anything that will fit on my 86, it seems successful on 87 and up but mostly on my year it looks like alot of money spent to find it didn't work. Though alot of the threads ended with people asking if it finally worked with no reply and the thread went dead.

There may be some info you need here (and a lot beyond what you were seeking)

Note that you can't use 87 and up head on 86 and older block w/o a lot of issues at minimum.
DIS Dukes are whole different engine from HEI Dukes and only a few parts are the same.

Yeah the thread fierosound sent is amazing, not only does it tell you in depth what will and won't work for each year with pert numbers, it also gives details as to why.
