So I went to convert my 86 SE to LED bulbs in the rear and have a strange problem. When I install the bulb into the socket, only the high filament works. I took it upon myself to attempt to remove the socket all together but leave the LED in it and hook up wires one by one. Here's where it gets strange. If the green wires (Stop/turn) are disconnected, the tail light (low filament) works great. Once the green. wires are hooked up, the parking lights go out. So with everything hooked up, only stop and turn work. In short, parking lights work if stop/turn are disconnected altogether. I cant fathom why this would be. Any thoughts?? Thank you in advance!

go back to normal bulbs or 2357 (Bit brighter and turns on faster) still have problems... See my Cave, Lighbulbs and Sneak Path
Even completely ignoring LED replacing external filament bulbs on a vehicle is illegal in most places... Most LED are craply made and causes many problem when people replace normal bulbs. Highlights See my Cave, LED poisoning
IOW.... LED you have can have wrong wiring In It and more. If you find a "good" LED that works right, all are make to comply w/ RoHS (Wiki) and other rules using lead free solder etc that are well known for problems.------------------ Dr. Ian Malcolm: Yeah, but your scientists were so preoccupied with whether or not they could, they didn't stop to think if they should. Interesting. I was just in Madison.
I think you have the wrong bulb. Test with an incandescent bulb. If it works, you'll know where the problem is.
