85 SE with 2.8L V6, 4 speed, 114,000 miles. So, what is the common opinion of types/brands of fuel injectors? FS wants $159 for a single injector (!!!). Rock Auto has variations from $18 to $85 (for genuine GM). I had taken the fuel rail out, and as I turned, I hit the corner of the workbench, and broke off the little plastic cap on the end of 2 of them. Not sure if I should go ahead and replace all, or just those 2. Nobody around here services injectors, except for diesel truck shops. Any recommendations of sending injectors somewhere to be cleaned, checked, repaired?
This all started with me wanting to replace the valve cover gaskets (one thing leads to another). While we're at it, what is the paint color for engine/ valve covers? Thanks.

You can purchase an off the car inexpensive injector cleaning kit (about $20) that works with a can of carburetor cleaner. It will also show if the injector is clogged or spraying.
I usually clean the injectors while on the car with a more elaborate pressurized system but this simple cleaner/tester will work fine. ------------------ " THE BLACK PARALYZER" -87GT 3800SC Series III engine, custom ZZP /Frozen Boost Intercooler setup, 3.4" Pulley, Northstar TB, LS1 MAF, 3" Spintech/Hedman Exhaust, P-log Manifold, Autolite 104's, MSD wires, Custom CAI, 4T65eHD w. custom axles, Champion Radiator, S10 Brake Booster, HP Tuners VCM Suite. Thanks. I'll contact them. I'm a little leery about sending the injectors cross-country.

Usually does with these classic cars, doesn't it? I've used Chrysler Red before for the valve covers (as suggested by others on this forum many years ago). It's pretty close.
