See my Cave, Oil Sensor
Depending on your new gauge... Might use same sender. OE is 0 - 90Ω or You need to T the plumbing to fit both because OE sender is Fuel Pump power so if FP Relay dies the engine still runs.
Note that Aftermarket electric gauges often have same problems as OE gauges and for same reasons like just 1 iffy ground or loose contact anywhere can make them lie or die.------------------ Dr. Ian Malcolm: Yeah, but your scientists were so preoccupied with whether or not they could, they didn't stop to think if they should. Thanks for the reply Ogre sir! The new gauge reads from 3-160 ohms so it shoulda shown some movement. No ohms from either tan wire, oem sender has 2 hots and 1 line w no power or ohmage w engine running. Should I see ohms at the non powered wire w the meter grounded to battery? New senders threads are 1/8 - 27, is that the same as the original sender?
thanks Shem

Got it figured out. New sender is too small to fit. Did a continuity test on the tan wire. Nada. Ran a test wire for s+g from a spool w the old sender and the gauge works. Reads ~100psi. Good enuf for me. Will run the new wire and call it good.
