How hard is it to replace the water pump on a 2.8 fiero gt? should the timing chain be changed too?,, kinda scared of breaking the bolts etc ? i did a 83 firebird 30 yrs ago an had to do the timing cover too what a drama lol

I have no idea what condition your timing chain is in... but This thread contains plenty of tips for changing a Fiero 2.8 water pump.
thanks nice step by step an pictures and looked like a lot of hard work ,hope i can do this. Can you still buy new timing chain covers for the 2.8 ? in case it is messed up .

on the 87 fiero is the oil pan an timing chain cover different the the 85 86 2.8 engines? I found a new timing chain cover on ebay for the 85 to 88?
