Its come time to install the nice cupholder that I purchased from TXGOOD several years ago. It was an earlier version that did not have the cigarette lighter socket. I want this outlet for my Smartphone/GPS and now need to relocate it. I am looking for some suggestions. My first idea is to locate it in the ashtray socket but is there enough room to do this? The alternative location is under the dash but this will require a custom made holding plate. If any of you have done this pleas chime in.

Late 90's/early 2000's Blazers have a separate dual socket/bracket under the passenger side dash. Might be just what youre looking for[This message has been edited by olejoedad (edited 09-04-2019).]

Like above, I used one similar with two USBs and one 12v socket. I have it under the left side of the dash just poking out. I wired it with a 15 amp fuse to an open fuse slot in the fuse box.

Like the second photo above, I installed one of these power outlets on the passenger side of my F355 dash and it worked out well.

I guess that we got that one solved, but what do we do about accessing the OBD Diagnostic socket that's sits under my TXgood cup holder console cover?

Extend the wires and relocate it.

You could run a pair of leads to the A and B ports, and then install a switch to short them whenever you need to check codes.

Yes that will work on the 2.5/2.8L but the car uses OBDII . It looks like that diagnostic port will need to be located behind the drivers seat------------------ " THE BLACK PARALYZER" -87GT 3800SC Series III engine, custom ZZP /Frozen Boost Intercooler setup, 3.4" Pulley, Northstar TB, LS1 MAF, 3" Spintech/Hedman Exhaust, P-log Manifold, Autolite 104's, MSD wires, Custom CAI, 4T65eHD w. custom axles, Champion Radiator, S10 Brake Booster, HP Tuners VCM Suite.
