Many have swung the cradle down to do other things like change the clutch. I would believe you can change the rear bushings as well. If it were me though I would wait to do all 4 with the cradle dropped.

Most options use outer metal and must save where it is.
Heat inner hole till rubber melts some. Best is heat rubber melts some, try pulling/pushing, repeat until done. Very carefully push or pull the inner metal out. If you loose control then inner can go flying. If you get sloppy the melting rubber etc will burn and often w/ 3rd degree type. Melted rubber is almost as bad as Napalm because will try to stick to everything. The rest of rubber comes out easy enough after it cools. Sharp knife or whatever w/ something on it to lube.
Even tho doesn't move to make noise, Must have some silicon grease to keep out water that will cause rust.

Yes you can, and it's relatively easy. The bushings are two piece and just pry out of the rear cradle horns. No heating is needed for these bushings. The metal top and bottom pieces are reused.

You did state the rear cradle bushings, the ones on the trunk side, right? Rear cradle bushings are very easy to replace. Detach the throttle shift , CC and battery cables, loosen the bolts on the front bushings. Support cradle w floor jack and jack stands. Remove rear cradle bolts. Lower the cradle a bit, but only enough to provide clearance. The bottom bushing half will come right out by prying as will the top one but you may need to use some PB blaster on it. . You can replace then with Prothane poly bushings for a more solid mounting.

No need to disconnect anything except the air tube to the throttle body..... There is plenty of slack to pivot the cradle down the little bit needed. If this is a four cylinder car, expect the intake to interfere with the trunk wall.

After putting in new bushings torque the bolts to OEM specs. Then after driving a few hundred miles check the torque again. You can do this without jacking the rear. The bolts (at least with poly bushings, my experience) do for whatever reason have a tendency to loosen a bit. After the torque recheck you should be good for a long time. Didn't need to repeat your info but my post and yours were done within a minute of each other and I would agree they apply to the V6.------------------ " THE BLACK PARALYZER" -87GT 3800SC Series III engine, custom ZZP /Frozen Boost Intercooler setup, 3.4" Pulley, Northstar TB, LS1 MAF, 3" Spintech/Hedman Exhaust, P-log Manifold, Autolite 104's, MSD wires, Custom CAI, 4T65eHD w. custom axles, Champion Radiator, S10 Brake Booster, HP Tuners VCM Suite.
