Anyone ever use these wilwood D154 calipers on the front with the zettner brake upgrade? On the 11.25 rotors. They are a direct replacement for the GM calipers used in this swap (same as Archie base swap) but come in dual piston. Reason why I’m thinking of these is because the design of the GM front calipers for this swap result in a subtle clank from the brake pads as the inner pad has a retainer clip that fits inside the caliper piston which never sits tight enough. The wilwoods are a different design and nicer shape than the GM. Ones.

Yes, the Wilwoods are a "bolt in" replacement for the D154 calipers. I installed a set on the front of my Fiero, with the V8 Archie adapters and LeBaron rotors.
However, the hydraulic connections are different. The Wilwood calipers don't use banjo fittings. IIRC, they use pipe thread fittings.

So you are telling me these will work with my Archie brakes?

I just watched an install video and they use a banjo bolt. You might not have this model?

I use these Wilwood calipers with the 11.25 rotors instead of the GM Metric caliper. Direct bolt in, uses banjo fittings, and light weight. Wilwood 120-7197 D154 GM Metric Single Piston Floater Caliper. I think you will be very happy with any caliper upgrade from Wilwood regardless of fittings. I like your choice of calipers. Cheers

Blacktree, I've seen them with both fittings. To be honest with you, I'm not a big fan of banjo fittings. I prefer the 1/8 NPT fittings and braided steel hoses. Less areas to leak. Cheers, John

I have a set of the bare AL Willwoods that I am not using. 2.5 " piston. Cant find them, I have looked everywhere. I use a dual piston Wilwood caliper on the front that has an area of 4.12 sq inches and I like it a lot. I use stock rear brakes and I have a bias adjuster to prevent front lock up. The calipers can be seen in my thread on page 21, they are part #120-11872-RD. There are lots of these calipers available in different piston sizes, black or red powder coated. Super light and much nicer than any of the other calipers that fit the Zettner brackets. They use banjo fittings and have top and bottom bleed screws. My thread:
