Strut tower vent mounts 87 vs 88 (Page 1/1) whl646 AUG 16, 01:51 AM Are the 87 strut tower vent mounts different from the 88? I bought an 88 GT project car, was missing the vent mounts. Got some off an 87GT but they don't seem to fit. fieroguru AUG 16, 02:08 AM 88 vent mount brackets are completely different (Coupe and Fastback within the 88s are also different) than the earlier year. Part of this is the struts are in physically different locations. Part is due to the 84-87 being mounted to one of the studs and the 88s using a bent tab off the stud ring. whl646 AUG 16, 02:13 AM Thank you! I am having a hard time finding pics of the 88's.
