Was hoping someone knew if I have to have the A/C hooked up when using 7730 and DIS with $A1. On page 22 of Darth's original thread on the swap he mentions that the ecm needs the signal from the A/C or it could cause idling issues. Is there a work around to this or do I have to use different mask if I want to keep a/c out of my fiero.

If you are not using A/C, the ECU doesn't care, and needs no input. If you are using A/C, the engine will bump up idle when A/C clutch engages, therefore it needs the input.

I'm late to the party, but olejoedad is correct. If the engine has A/C, the ECM needs to be able to adjust the idle when the A/C turns on. If your engine doesn't have A/C, you don't need to worry about it.
