Reduced airflow from vents all on all modes (Page 1/1)

My ac was working fine and stopped all of a sudden. The blower operates at all speeds. I can hear the actuators moving when I change modes. seems like the heat is blowing okay out the bottom of the dash. When I set to vent, b/l, and any ac mode the vent airflow is very low. I can hear the motor blowing alot of air, its just coming out greatly reduced from all vents in the dash. Defroster seems to not be getting full power either. Could there be a clog in the system? I can hear the actuators when changing between all modes. I am going to pull the blower fan out to makes sure it isnt damaged, but I suspect it isnt. Stumped!

Can easily have all kind of crap blocking air flow.
The big one is very quickly Pull Blower motor and resistor next to that.
Resistors may have crap or not. When true can burn your car down.
Next Use mirrors/camera to look in and left.

i did a little more digging and found the info about the fan and resistor. Pulled them and it was a mess. Used a shop vac to get it all out, then reversed the vac and blew whatever was left stuck in there loose. Vaccumed all of that out and reassembled. Wow, now I have massive air flow. Thanks for the reply!

You can still have crap in there pushing/pulling air thru resistor hole.
Best is pull the blower and look in the hole like I did in link above.

IOW Air in the box can remove allot of junk but shape etc can still hold a lot. I did same first time cleaned it but leaves get trapped w/ some pressure and if you have mold etc in AC that sticks then air won't remove it.
