Took out the 88 the other night and noticed that one of my license plate bulbs is dead. Just wanted to know what model number a replacement bulb would be at the local parts store (Napa, auto zone, etc.) and how exactly to remove the lense and replace? Hoping it’s a quick fix I can do after work. Thanks.

I don't know the bulb number, but to replace it, remove the 2 screws that hold the lens assembly in place. Pull the lens assembly out of the hole and you can twist the bulb socket and remove the bulb. I think it's the same bulb that is used in the instrument panel and side markers.

Got the bulb and getting ready to take down the housing. What do I use to remove the screws? They aren’t Philips head or flat and I don’t want to strip. Allen head?

Look at the screws in your dash.

T10 or T15 torx to remove the fixture. Might be able to remove the bulb and socket w/o remove the fixture but needs small hands. turn socket in the fixture a bit then pull out. Do Not turn the bulb to remove that.------------------ Dr. Ian Malcolm: Yeah, but your scientists were so preoccupied with whether or not they could, they didn't stop to think if they should.
