Has anyone tried removing a dent from a quarter panel, door panel or front fender with a heat gun? If so, how successful was it?
Someone clipped my GT. They caught the left quarter at the cold air intake and deformed the panel from the back of the intake to the edge of the wheel well. No break in the plastic and the mark buffed out but there is a noticeable dent.
Hoping I can "pop" out the dent without damaging the paint or replacing the quarter (I have spare quarters that I was planning to use as molds for some vent mods.)

I would hesitate to use anything hotter than a hair dryer. Go slow and a heat gun should do the job. In cold weather you would get a crack before a dent.....lucky.
