i am in the process of doing a 3800 swap into an indy. i know that the swaps into an 84 can be a pain, so in an effort to relieve some of the pain, i have swapped in a complete harness from an 88 formula, front to back, whole car. everything plugs in for the most part, had to add a wire for the 2nd horn, and will be doing something with the second door jam switch that the 84 has, its for the door ajar, later cars have it in the latch mechanism. what my question is, are the brake switches different? both cars had cruise control, but the plug for the 88 harness will not plug into the switches. sorry i can post pics here, but any advice would be helpful. thanks!

Brake switches aren't even the same for 1 year. Brake light switches depend on options in the car. big one... AT vs Stick. Has cruise or not w/ either trans. Some only have one others have two there.------------------ Dr. Ian Malcolm: Yeah, but your scientists were so preoccupied with whether or not they could, they didn't stop to think if they should.
