LED Solutions for forward facing turn signals on the GT? (Page 1/1)
Threedog JUL 18, 08:22 PM
I have swapped just about all of my lights over to pretty high quality LED bulbs, except I have not found a solution for the forward facing front turn signals. No matter how expensive the LED bulb, they don't seem to be able to ground through the LED bulb like they do with the standard bulb(meaning the sidemarkers do not work).

Has anybody successfully found an LED bulb that works in the front forward turn signals?

Even if they find LED that work there...
Front side marker often have problem w/ them because front turn/park is the ground for them.
Then they whine to whatever BS vendor that tells them to install added resistors that eats more power then 2057 1157 and 2357 bulbs. Worse when the resistors are installed wrong can melt things or cause a fire.

Sounds like I might as well just leave it. If anyone has an answer, it’s you.

It’s a bummer because I wanted brighter bulbs and the stock ones are pretty weak. Ah well.

try 2357 bulb. A little Faster and Brighter then 2057.
But dim 2057 can be iffy ground etc. besides socket problems, try fixing/cleaning front grounds next to HL assembles.

I have them all cleaned, I’ll try the other bulbs though: thanks ogre!

I use switchback led's in the front of mine. However all of my marker lights are LED so I do not have any problem with any lights not working. I also switched out my flasher units to LED friendly ones.

I replaced the entire light with these and they work great.
Link to Ebay or you can find them at most any truck stop.

The installation required the use of a ballast resistor for the signals to flash correctly.

Lots will work, if you don't change your rears to LED

I have a fastback and I did all the rears as well. I suppose all cars are not created the same or many have grounding issues now because of age.
