With the brake switch disconnected, the reading remains at 7.5 ohms when the brake pedal is depressed. Turning on the ignition increases the resistance to 45 ohms then drops to 24 ohms. Steering column was lowered to adjust the position of the ignition switch. When bolted back up, some wires were pinched between the column support bracket and the frame to which it bolts to.
