Hello
I am about to install a 3800 compressor on my 3800 motor and removing the HR6 compressor. I bought a new AC compressor bracket for the 3800, but it came with no studs
The diagram shows 3 studs that are used to fasten the AC compressor to it, but I can't find these to purchase. Can anyone tell me what they are? Size? GM part number? I have found several diagrams online where the bracket is identified, but not the studs.
thanks

Was able to get help from the local GM dealer. Studs are discontinued but readily available from generic fastener shops

if you can't find studs, you can use long Bolts from the back.

Thanks!
Will be trying to get this compressor in today. With the WCF headers in place, there is very little room to get the old compressor out and put the new one in, and the AC line will pretty much be touching the headers- no way to get around it. Hopefully it can handle the heat...
I really have no idea if these headers actually add any performance benefit- but they sure take up a lot of space. grrrr....
Does anyone know if trying to wrap the AC line in any kind of heat shield tape or wrap would make any difference at all to protect it from the heat? Or is it a waste of time if they are touching anyway? The headers are wrapped and the engine bay heat is actually lower than previous 3800 SC Fieros I have owned.
