There are a few Texas Fiero clubs you could check out as well.

BUMP!!!

Alternator is easy enough to replace. Water pump will be a bit more difficult. Why not just do them yourself?

If you don't want to fix it yourself try another shop. I live in metro Detroit and couldn't imagine a shop around here turning that job down, unless it was a rusted pile of junk they didn't think you'd pay your bill on. Neither of those jobs is particularly difficult. Any professional mechanic should have done jobs WAY more complicated. Call them up and tell them you have a 2005 Ford 500 that you need a water pump on. If they will fix that, but not a Fiero water pump they are a bunch of knuckleheads.

Sorry for the late response but work is got me swamped...IE,. I don't have the time, (or space)

UPDATE: The real reason I wanted the alt alternator/ water pump replaced is because of a noise at low RPM,s... The car only has 58k on it so it has sat up for a while somewhere..(before I owned it) Anyways, yesterday the noise stopped! It just got perfect and was running perfect and quiet??? BUT now it is over heating and when I checked the radiator it is cold...SO I am thinking the pump went out...Has anyone in here had this happen to them? Or could it be something worse??? The car starts and runs perfect...Any ideas?
