Hey guys. Havent been in here in a while , my profile was called painandgain.
87 GT manua, i need some help. My timing chain snapped some two years ago. Didnt know. Bought a brand new acdelco distributor. Now, the nee distributor is not in the car currently. Both the disrrtributor now block are marks. After installing the timing chain, and tried to put the distributor in correctly, and it turns over but too far out of time. Can anyone tell me how i could get the car running. The distributor is unmarked and removed and im almost certain thats why its not starting.
Appreciate any help guys, hope you have all been well[This message has been edited by Noahfuller (edited 05-14-2019).]

Missed you pat, hope youve been well. So basically, i have to get a given cylinder at TDC and the distributor to strike exactly that cylinder first upon turning over?

Always work off of #1 cylinder when restoring the timing on an engine.
