Does the 5spd shifter from a 4cyl Isuzu Fiero work in a 6cyl Getrag Fiero? (Page 1/1)

I feel like I should know this and did a couple of searches, but don't know the answer.

I thought the shifters were the same.

The 5-speed shifters are constructed differently, but work the same. So they are interchangeable. As a matter of fact, I've been using an Isuzu shifter with a Getrag 5-speed for over 10 years.

No problem. You may also want to look at the Rodney Dickman rebuild kit for the 5-speed shifters. It helps a lot.
