I had a stroke and luckily all it messed up was my memory and some of my mechanical abilities . With that being said what straight shift trans should I use in a 1988 Fiero and where can I get a flywheel also is there a video showing a detailed LFX installation?? I hope you great folks can help . Thank you so much in advance .

The Saab 9-3 with turbo 2.8 V6 was available with the F40 six speed trans from '09ish until they stopped building them. That transmission bolts directly to the LLT, LFX, LGX and other high feature V6's (like the LP9 2.8 turbo).
All the stock Saab flywheel/clutch parts should work fine.

So unless someone else knows something then we are stuck with a 4 speed auto, right .?I looked the prices up and can't afford the f40 trans

Check carparts.com for a 2006-2012 manual transaxle for the Saab 9-3 with the 2.8l v6. There is one in Las Vegas and one in Albuquerque, each is $375.

By the way, the 4 speed auto does not come with the LFX engine. The LFX was coupled to the 6t70 transmission.

This flywheel will work for the LFX/F-40 6 speed.
