Is it possible to remove the entire console assembly without removing the seats? My storage door under the rear window came off due to the nuts falling off and I figure the only way to reassemble it is to take the console out and reattach the nuts. I'd rather not have to take the seats out. Thanks, R

The entire rear center console will come out without removing seats. 6 screws in the console. 2 behind the door 2 in front. 2 holding the lighter/aldl cover on. You have to remove the center cap over the gear shift 1st. 2 screws under each ashtray. You also need to disconnect the wires on the lighter or remove the 2 screws holding it on. JMTUT: Thanks, just what I needed to know. Patrick: No $ left, got it all ( $1.25 ) when I replaced the carpet. Removing the seats was the most PITA part of the process, that's why I don't want to have to do it again. Ogre: Great idea, I'll do what you recommend when I get it all apart. Thanks guys........again, Rich

Normal commercial temp range for integrated circuits is 0-70*C . That's a standard 158* F but in most cases automotive parts use an industrial rated part that is good from -40* to 125*C. I would not be too concerned about the ECM / PCM overheating.. ------------------ " THE BLACK PARALYZER" -87GT 3800SC Series III engine, custom ZZP /Frozen Boost Intercooler setup, 3.4" Pulley, Northstar TB, LS1 MAF, 3" Spintech/Hedman Exhaust, P-log Manifold, Autolite 104's, MSD wires, Custom CAI, 4T65eHD w. custom axles, Champion Radiator, S10 Brake Booster, HP Tuners VCM Suite. Only $1.25? That's surprising!

Four nuts to remove for each seat... that was a PITA? It's like a five minute job, tops. Were they badly corroded or what?

Patrick, those 4 little nuts were almost the cause of my calling a mental health pro. They were rusted beyond repair and had to access them from underneath and from above. R
