I have a 87 GT with a Corvette LS1 with a V8 Archie kit and adapter plate that had a Fiero 5 sp. I am installing a 6 sp F60 and the clutch will not engage. Adapter plate seems to be too thick. What is the cure????

Archie sells a flywheel clutch surface spacer for all the F40 swaps as the F40 is roughly about 1" deeper than the Getrag. You will also have axle issues (length and spline). Your best bet is to reach out to Archie for the additional parts you will need.

The F40 requires a much thicker flywheel than the Getrag or Isuzu 5 speeds. If you're still using the flywheel from the 5 speed, that won't work. You'll need to contact Archie for his 6 speed flywheel.
