Has anyone found a good replacement seal? I searched and did not come up with much. I know the fiero store has one but folks have said that it is not a good piece. I have also read someone cutting the rubber out of the original seal and replacing the o-rings. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Dare I bump this? I can assume by the lack of respones noone really has an answer. I will probably go with the Fiero Store piece.

Go to the F-Body forums and ask what they use kn the 3.4's and their source. They use the same seal. Just pretend you own a 93-95 Camaro or Firebird.🤐

What seal are you looking for? If it's just flat rubber or cork, a new one can be laser cut easily. [This message has been edited by jmbishop (edited 02-17-2018).]

Just a follow up to what I did. Instead of purchasing a $37 part from the Fiero Store I matched the rubber on the old seal to new rubber 0-rings. I just used o-rings in place of the old seal and bolted it down. I have run the car to operating temp multiple times and driven it around the block a few times with no leaks. Will this work long term, we shall see. I just wanted to post up my experiences thus far.

As long as the O rings were Viton not Buna-N. The black Buna-N O rings are not as good under pressure. ------------------ " THE BLACK PARALYZER" -87GT 3800SC Series III engine, custom ZZP /Frozen Boost Intercooler setup, 3.4" Pulley, Northstar TB, LS1 MAF, 3" Spintech/Hedman Exhaust, P-log Manifold, Autolite 104's, MSD wires, Custom CAI, 4T65eHD w. custom axles, Champion Radiator, S10 Brake Booster, HP Tuners VCM Suite. I used Viton rings. Good point though. I am just suprised the lack of talk about this, no one makes this seal except the Fiero Store. When I took mine apart the seal was all cracked up. I can only imagine how many owners are driving around with a potential gas leak.
