It's not the relay on the drivers side of the firewall like my manual says, so does anybody know where it is?

As I recall, you purchased an 84 with the V8 in it, so who knows what the swapper did. You have a non-stock fuel pump, so I would be looking at those wires and tracing backwards.

The two relays on the firewall are for the rear turn signals and are not for the fuel pump and a/c compressor like the manual states. The fuel pump is stock with stock wiring, I just dropped the tank yesterday. I have a one wire plug to power the pump and a two wire plug that has the ground and sender wires. Does anyone else have an '84, or just knows where it is?

The '84's have completely different engine bay wiring than later models... that's why he asked where the fuel pump relay is specifically for an '84. The two relays you are thinking of are used for rear turn signals on the '84's as mentioned.

An 84 shop manual should have a schematic right? I dont have any 84 stuff.

Must have been moved. On my Indy all 4 relays are clustered together.
The fuel pump and A/C relay are right above the signal lights relays just to the right of the decklid hinge.

Fierosound is correct. An 84 (with A/C) will have 4 relays all mounted next to each other on the firewall. One is the fuel pump, one is for the A/C compressor clutch. and two are for the rear turn signals/brake lights. If your 84 only has the two for the turn signals, than someone has modified it........ ------------------

Oops wrong spot.
My 84 has the 4 relays, fuel, A/C clutch, and turn signals. The fuel pump relay is next to the A/C lines.[This message has been edited by tebailey (edited 06-10-2014).]
