At a minimum the drivetrain will rock side to side depending on if it is accelerating/decelerating just due to the change in rotational inertia. With big cubes and 1000 hp target, this change in rotational inertia can be significant.

yes i agree there will be some and i feel thing can be modified to be just as strong if not stonger using much heavier steel like 1/4 inch thick C chanel maybe but first things like you said need to know where the alternator is going to be as i plan on electric AC pump

I found this BMW electric water pump it is $69 on ebay it should work to move the coolant as that is what it is for

FieroWannaBe DEC 17, 12:09 PM
There are several versions of these water pumps. LIN or PWM, if you want to speed control. I believe all versions work as on/off.

OEM for late model BMWs.

Checkout https://www.tecomotive.com/en/products/pumps.html for engineering data.

well looks like i need a fuel tank as this one is roted out and no way can it be patched up . the transmission i order who knows where it is as Fedex does not seem to know and the listing on Ebay said it was located in Keen NH but the tracking shows it is comming from Germany and has not been updated since the 11th

Wow the Dumb but heads who sold me the transmission just messaged me that the transmission is leaking oil out of it so the shipper wont send it so they are going to repack it and send it i just asked for a refund if they are to dunb to drain it with the drive side axle flange shaft missing as i am sure that is where the oil would leak from as the is nothing for the seal to seal against .

New valve covers to clear the rocker arms and hide the coils

I would, if I were pursuing this, given the powertrain layout. Start looking at fuel cells for the spare tire area, the sheet metal up there past the firewall doesn't contribute much structurally. Once gone I think a fuel cell of 12 gallons+ could fit ok. That's the location most Porsches put their tank.

Then more space opens up for the engine FEAD, and maybe some bracing from the "backbone" of the frame to the lower frame rails, similar to how the Lotus Esprit or DMC12 was done, since trimming the box linking the lower frame rails to the center tunnel has to be trimmed, and in my opinion the engineers did a lot of compromising to fit the fuel tank in the tunnel already. I would triangulate the sectioned box to the upper rails outlining the tunnel inside the cabin.

With the transaxle, Tractive forces for Accel/Decel will be in the direction of rotation from the tire, the engine torque if fully reacted and constrained by the transmission.
On a front engine RWD car, without a torque tube, the driveline torque is reacted by the frame (transmission output torque to differential). A transaxle directly to the engine does not use the frame to transmit any torque in the axes of engine rotation other than the reaction to inertial forces from rotational inertia changes. The engine mounting will need to react to the CV axle forces that are seen, these are the same forces the suspension sees such as the ones described in anti-squat, the tractive forces, in axis perpendicular to the direction of travel.

Thanks FieroWannaBe i think a fuel cell up front will be best and i agree on the rest of what you said
