At the time carburetors where the thing I knew best. I'll guess that you enjoy carburetors so you know just how "exotic" Webber's are. You do want individual intake runners to do them right. I did a triple DCOE setup on a 1.9 liter Triumph GT6 and a single on an MGB and learned that I like SU's the best. One needs a whole box of jets to tune a Webber and ..... some place other than the side of the road to do it. I'll have to model how it was going to look. but I've dealt with quite a few webers on older vehicles and I gotta say they do not get better from sitting. they made an excellent blow through carb though
