Temperature gauge not reading. (Page 4/4)

Only 84 Fiero w/ AC uses 2 speed rad fan w/ resistor. That has 3 switches in 2 senders to run it.

All other are single speed rad fan w/ single switch on engine to run it.
See my Cave, Rad Fan

Ran Fan has Nothing to do w/ Temp Light and/or Gauge not working.

Even if you wired the gauge/light sender right...

Gauge not working can be several things.
Gauges have "hidden" resistors bolted to back not shown in any GM or other docs. Resistor's nuts can get loose/dirty and cause gauge problems.
you have to pull dash apart to see the resistors.

Gauges have clips between bolts on back to board on back of dash. They and board can get dirty etc cause problems. large plugs on dash back often has problems too w/ "dash pins" losing glue then get bent.

I get that. I just figured it would be easier to do it all in one post instead of splitting it.

You want grounding of LT Green/Black wire to kick the fan on High Speed (since fan has only 1 wire to it)
Power Wire on fan should be to Terminal

Okay. That will come later as it's getting nasty out now. Thanks for the help and I will keep you updated.
