You got a ton of problems, as mentioned your likely better off just dropping the cradle and start step by step. Your precious not needed magical headbolt is not one of them, forget about that.
You should reach out and find if there is anyone sorta local competent with Fiero's specifically and have them come and point out the plethora of issues and where to start.[This message has been edited by jelly2m8 (edited 12-25-2025).]

You need to learn how to reply and NOT repost lots of scrolling of pictures.[This message has been edited by jelly2m8 (edited 12-25-2025).]

Hopefully on Friday one of my uncles is going to help me move the car.. me and my Dad tried getting it off the ground but it's on a slight Hill so when you lift it it actually moves the car so we can't get it up safely. Hopefully we just have to move it a few feet and It should be stable then we can actually get underneath it.. I'll update you guys when we start working on it on Friday. That's if it's nice out. Also up above I showed a photo of the jack I was using. I'm returning that on Friday because it's too tall to fit under the car.. just letting you guys know so you don't buy it for the Fiero. I will be trying to find another one. I want a trolley Jack that comes with a case that is low profile. If I find a good one I'll send it in the Forum so other people can buy it. I just don't like scissor jacks

If a head bolt is missing, it needs to be replaced, correct? It doesn't have to be replaced by the specific g501 head stud, but a head bolt needs to occupy that hole if it's missing. That's what I've been trying to say. You saying this will make him think the head bolt is straight up not necessary, the specific stud ground location isn't, but you need something there to clamp the head to the block, if it is missing, which he says it is. If somehow head bolts are magically not necessary any more, let me know, I can get a bit of weight reduction on my Fiero haha.

It has been suggested that you drop the cradle and start from scratch. While this is good advice; for a first time effort, just have the right tools, use the right technique and carefully support the car so it doesn't fall. You state that you are working on dirt. That is risky as the chance of the car falling off its supports are very high. While we have a 2 post lift here we always work on a strong concrete floor. If you have never dropped a cradle, it may be best to put this step off for a while and if you can, work from the top for now. Whatever you do just please BE CAREFUL. ------------------ " THE BLACK PARALYZER" -87GT 3800SC Series III engine, custom ZZP /Frozen Boost Intercooler setup, 3.4" Pulley, Northstar TB, LS1 MAF, 3" Spintech/Hedman Exhaust, P-log Manifold, Autolite 104's, MSD wires, Custom CAI, 4T65eHD w. custom axles, Champion Radiator, S10 Brake Booster, HP Tuners VCM Suite.
