I have a 4 speed on the shelf as well btw! I never found all that was needed to make the swap work so I went back with the 5 speed that was original to the car

i might want that 4 speed if you arent more than 2 states over from washington. i hope its nothing serious with your engine though. mine sounds alot worse on video

i think you might just have the same awful trans noise i do. it didnt seem to change with rpm at all at least to my ears and seems to be constant. idk maybe someone else can hear a different noise?

So couple of items left to check on this...any other possible causes ??

--injectors
--lifters
--trans
--harmonic balancer / pullies
--exhaust leak

You can always check the firewall (or front as they call it) exhaust manifold for leaks. It takes all the rain and moisture running off the decklid. It possibly has a crack or two. You can always check the redneck way. Turn off the lights in the garage, start the car, and operate the throttle manually from the throttle body while looking for flames at the exhaust manifolds.

That's a great idea I like that ! I tried the plug the exhaust and use a smoke machine method prior and found the collector leaking slightly. I'll def give this a shot !

mine turned out to be the slave cylinder (new owner unhooked it and the horrible noise stopped. so some of the getrag death rattle are the slave cylinders leaking or sticking)
so check that
