We haven't done it yet, but I'm going to use both.

The red spacer with the black gasket in the middle is still to current (green) standards for R134a, but the other end of the tube is smaller, and fits within that other spacer that has the green O-ring on it. This keeps the hose "centered" when I bolt it down. There should also of course be a seal on the other end too... which would be one of those flat spacers with the integrated black O-ring.

When I made this post a while back, I overthought it.

The truth is... if you can get it to seal properly, it's going to work. My daughter doesn't have working A/C in the car yet, and we have been working on other projects like the Solstice and the Corvette... but we will be going back to that next month (her videos are like 8 months behind). But I found it easier to literally buy a whole set of A/C o-ring and gasket sets.. because as I've repaired the Solstice, or even my Ford Explorer that I normally drive... everyone is using a different seal in a different place...
