V8 Archie used the 85-86 4 speed with cryo hardened internals on his V8 swaps with good success for quite some time.

An F40 is stronger, but without changing the differential ratio, first gear is worthless - it's effectively a five speed if your engine has any low end torque at all.

oh I bet the v6 munchie 4nspeed is strong. it takes power shifting and rev matched clutchless upshifts and downshifts very well with no grinding.
that's basically what I want. with the idiots around here always being 2 inches off my bumper and my gt running not the best I would much rather have a low first and need to shift to get above 15-20 than keep trying to make the current one work with my random loss and gain of low end power. (getting resolved but this trans is also fragile like glass)
