Some "pins" are adjusted short or worn and won't push fuel valve in far enough. Many pins have threaded bodies to adjust them inside the hose end. Running the F-pump will leave gas too and same ~ 1 gal at bottom even when tank is level. If jack the back or front can/will leave more gas as flow to lowest spot to seek liquid level top surface.
