Hello Everyone,
I got my "FFVE" (Fédération Française des Véhicules d'Epoque) certificate this week without the engine number. This mean that I will be able to register my car and drive it very soon !
I just wanted to answer / close this topic with this last message just in case other people try to put their car in collection in France (no homologation needed.. very worth when your car has never been sold in Europe).
Just contact the FFVE and ask them which "engine code" they need or say that you can't find a code without disassembling the car. They will probably understand and ask you for an engine picture which may be sufficient to know if you're honest.
I guess that a Supra with a 700HP+ engine won't be able to get it's FFVE certificate because you can clearly see that the engine has been modified with simple google search.
I think that it's a good thing because they will clearly know if the engine is a stock one or an "accepted" swap. (FFVE seems to accept some and will deliver a different certificat with higher "chevaux fiscaux").
Thanks everyone for helping me on this topic, it was stressful but in the end, everything's fine !
Best Regards, Leo
