No offence Will, but that's nonsense. I've worked a lot with video/video compression over the last 20 years, and there's no way that video compression has anything to do with the perceived color issue with this car.

LOL Yes the video compression distorts only one headlight door's color, from every conceivable angle and has no effect on any other body panels. Sorry but that door is no where near matching the hood or the other headlight door (the other door matches perfectly) in either the video or the photos. It is visible in all the still photos from the listing (which is why I included that link originally). Someone else posted a video link. I'm assuming those that are making excuses didn't even check the listing or it's pictures.

Well you can WATCH the compression artifacts move around the hood as he does the initial walk around.
The still shot above with the hood up should conclusively demonstrate that the problem was in the video camera and not the paint.

I'm not stating that the headlight door actually matches the hood or not. I'm simply saying that "compression artifacts" are not responsible for what we're seeing in the video.
Here's the image you're referring to, followed by the same image compressed a whole lot more. Notice how the "compression artifacts" don't limit themselves to a particular body panel.

Different codecs behave differently. Watch the video, compare to the still... the problem is in the video.

Wrong the door does not match in the pictures you posted. The lighting is worse with the hood up so it looks less severe but is still apparent. In the other picture you picked a picture with the bad headlight door as far from the camera as possible so it again isn't as apparent but still obvious.

I just realized I didn't post the BaT link.
https://bringatrailer.com/l...-pontiac-fiero-gt-9/
When I went through the listing again I noticed that the person was very careful in what angles he showed the mismatched headlight door at. Once you realize the door is mismatched and try to find pictures of it it's obvious that they didn't want any pictures that made it really stand out the way the video did.
All the headlight door pictures are carefully selected. It's like a heavy girl wearing loose clothing or whatever the latest trick is.
Even with the carefully selected photos, it is obvious. Here's one angle that you wouldn't think due to the extremely low angle would even be visible but is pretty apparent. Was this photo compressed or whatever the latest excuse is for mismatched paint?

One other thought. Why do these low mileage 88 GT guys always seem so insistent in getting the hack job recall done? When I bought my <100 mile GT one of my criteria was that it NOT have the hackjob recall done. I think most of us know the recall did absolutely nothing of use but did leave pipes hanging around the front exhaust manifold open to leaves and water and ripped the fiberglass on the decklid as the techs yanked the weatherstrip clip offs.
Pretty much every low mileage example I see had the hackjob recall done. Was/Is there some thought that having the recall done would increase the "original" condition Fiero's value to collectors?

Slow your roll, dude. I didn't post any pics.
There's no color difference on my monitor. If we're arguing over monitor calibration... it's still not different on the car.
ETA: And... are you the buyer? No? Chill the F@#$% out then.
ETA2: Is the left headlight door bad too?

I never said you did post pics. What are you talking about?
ETA...Oh I didn't realize only the buyer can comment on this car. Oh wait why are you commenting on the car then?
ETA2....No the left headlight door is fine. The right one is the one that sticks out like a sore thumb. Have you not been reading this thread?
ETA3....What's ETA?
