Not sure where the roll pin is, I’ll check it out. The cables were already attached to the shifter handle assy when I got it from someone else who had pulled the whole setup from the junkyard years ago. I wonder if the cables could’ve ever been swapped and are currently backwards somehow. This is my first time ever seeing or messing with this kind of linkage transmission stuff. it seemed obvious when I connected the end of the linkage to the transmission, which one went where, like I couldn’t have done it backwards.

Hello, the roll pin is in the slotted select shaft collar that engages to the select arm on the transmission where the cables connect. Good insight from Will as if this pin is not there or broken, you will get no left-right shifter engagement to the other gates. Check that for sure.
