That could be a problem. It has the fan from my 87 in it now because the stock one was seized.

Not a problem.
Does your fan have a resistor mounted to the shroud?

Agreed. Not necessarily a problem.
May just not be wired right for 2-speed fan switch on engine.

Did you transfer the white resistor to the fan you installed?

From what I remember, been over half a year, the old one didnt have that on it. Maybe the old owner had it swapped at some point too. Is there a way for me to either make my own or buy one and add it to my current fan?

Don't depend on memory...

Figure out what you have for a radiator fan and fan switch on the engine. Pics?
We have to deconstruct what the previous owners may have been thinking and done.

It may have already been changed to a single speed setup using a one pin fan switch - which is FINE.
With Key On and A/C Off, if you ground the wire off the fan switch and fan comes on, wiring is OK.

Okay. I confirmed that I have no resistor on either fan housing that I have. Grounding the sensor and pics of that will have to wait till at least monday as I work weekends still.

The sensor that would be for the fan that is in my car is a 2 terminal one. I take it that's for a 2 speed fan?

When I short one of the 2 wires, I can hear the relay click on but the fan doesnt spin up at all.

Time so see what's happening at the radiator fan relay.
You want grounding of LT Green/Black wire to kick the fan on High Speed (since fan has only 1 wire to it)
Power Wire on fan should be to Terminal A on fan relay.
