How did you get the pad out if I may ask? I saw that it could come off, but I never figured it out because mine refuses to come loose.

Three 1/2 inch bolts held the bracket in place, two on the left and one on the right in the middle. Once you take those out, the crankshaft sensor is on the back of the bracket going inside of the block. You have to pull hard and maybe twist but it pulls it straight out.
