A LOT was done in the car the past two months while it was in the shop. the engine and cradle was dropped... the center console was removed due to a huge mouse nest... I think the metal piece of the back of the lighter socket that connect to the plastic connector had been squashed against the side of the outlet and had shorted it. Every day is a new day, so they say...(I THINK?!?)
