deleting sun visors. (Page 2/2)

I'm using these for now to hold my headliner on while I finish up some a few other things.

The visors can be flip down and then swinged to the side windows, which is very convenient!

On the other hand, GT sun visors only flip down at the windshield and IMO are 'worthless'.

Just marked this date on my calendar....First time I "evr ben wright".....

As for the Fiero visors- you do know that the inner end pops out of the light console so you can swing them to the side...?

These are the very reason I started this thread. When I saw them I assumed they were just for appearance purposes for people who were deleting the visors but not redoing their headliner. But I just wanted to ask to make sure.

BTW There is an awesome step-by-step thread here for re-doing the headliner. Lots of good info on finding all the screws to remove it. But he doesn't mention deleting the visors.

Probably because he's not a vampire.

Damn cvxjet; you're "wright" again! My '88 visors CAN swing to the side, but it's a big struggle and not easily as the Ford.

Still, I'm following fredtoast lead on this thread when I redo my headliner.....

The 2010 Expedition also had the dual sun visors on both front passenger and driver's side seats. That was a nice feature and I wish that it was still available.
