UPDATE: The tach board the car came with is dead. Won’t respond at all.

I have 2 tach boards I bought off eBay. Both have an adjustment screw. I’ve tried both, they both work, and I’ve tuned them so they’re accurate. My problem now, if I punch the throttle the needle drops to 0. If I rev slowly they work fine. Friend of mine thinks it’s the stepper motor attached to the tach face. Anyone have an idea of what’s going on, should I just PM JGunsett and get to shipping it off to him?
